The comfort of good cooking
Our residents enjoy fresh, home-made meals, from a diverse and continually changing menu, all prepared in our own kitchen. Sharon Grindley, our experienced Catering & Domestic Services Manager, makes a point of speaking to all residents every week on an individual basis to discuss their likes, dislikes and the forthcoming plans for the menu. We appreciate that meals are something that residents particularly look forward to. We pride ourselves on a varied and tasty menu and we endeavour to include traditional favourites such as a mid-week roast and fish ‘n’ chips on a Friday. There are two menu choices daily, with a selection of desserts to choose from. Special diets are catered for (e.g. diabetic/vegetarian/soft food/coeliac).
We put particular emphasis on sourcing produce from local suppliers where ever possible and, as mentioned above, all our food is prepared in our own kitchen.
Our afternoon tea trolley with home-made cakes and biscuits is a particular favourite! Even our birthday cakes are individually made and decorated to celebrate the special occasion.
