Activities and Entertainment

There is a full-time Activities Co-ordinator who arranges group activities most afternoons, catering to all tastes, from general knowledge quizzes and art classes to card games and keep-fit classes.

“I so enjoy our afternoon activities, especially when we have a jolly good sing-song!”

Mrs VG – Resident

Pets As Therapy

P.A.T dogs visit the home regularly and give a huge amount of pleasure to the residents, who get the chance to cuddle and talk to them. These very special dogs bring everyday life closer and with it, all the happy associations of home comforts and unconditional love.

League of Friends

The League of Friends is a voluntary group whose members enhance the lives of a number of our residents, by visiting them, accompanying them on shopping trips and outings, and organising social activities.

Our volunteers benefit too in many different ways. They have the opportunity to put their own skills to good use and learn new ones; they become part of a caring team and they get great pleasure in providing our residents with companionship and practical help.

If you would like to know more about the League of Friends, please contact Marianne Faux on 01296 625188. Your friendship could make a world of difference to an older person.

“I really enjoy visiting the residents at Leonard Pulham – there is always so much laughter and the experience has truly enriched my life”.
