Christmas is approaching very quickly, so we have included all our forthcoming events – we will be putting up reminders on the notice board as well.

“The Nursing Home had an unannounced visit from a C.Q.C. (Care Quality Commission) Inspector on 22nd September – coincidentally, the day of our Annual General Meeting.
We have now received the draft report from the C.Q.C. and are delighted to say that we are compliant with requirements in all areas. The C.Q.C. no longer operate any form of ‘star’ system, so compliance is all that is required. Congratulations are due to all the staff at the Nursing Home”

A total of thirty four people attended the Leonard Pulham Annual General Meeting held at the Nursing Home on Thursday 22nd September 2011 at 7.15pm. The attendees included families and sponsors of residents, a few residents, Executive Committee members and other supporters of the Nursing Home.
Here are our daily resident activities for October. The next Matron’s meeting is on Thursday 27th October at 2.00 p.m.

“As Midsummer approached the trimming of hedges, beards and hair could be heard with shears, clippers and scissors in preparation for the big day. Although the weather was not too promising, the usual gazebos appeared in the garden (seemingly between meals) ready for the annual Leonard Pulham Garden Party in the impeccably matured gardens, complete with the perpetual water feature (much beloved of the Halton and L.P.H. bird life for their ablutions!)
On Friday 5th August around sixty keen contestants met at the Leonard Pulham Nursing Home for a Charity Quiz Night. A splendid time was had by all, with teams of eight people answering a total of one hundred questions, some easy and some very hard – or so the contestants said!
